OpenVessel

OpenVessel was a start-up I founded back in 2020 that was trying take open-source machine-learning, deep learning models, and general AI tools and improve and validate them to achieve tumor detect inside of a CT scans like Lung-scan or Liver Scan.

Won a competitive challenge out of 500 teams awarded as one of the finalist for $5,000 for developing healthcare AI-based solutions to real-world problems. After the competition our team wanted to a start up.During my time at the Nittany AI Competition at University Park (Spring 2020-2021), I successfully led 8 person team in the Nittany AI Challenge, emerging as a finalist out of 500 teams and securing a $5,000 award for developing AI-based solutions to real-world problems. Simultaneously, I was start-up founder of OpenVessel, where I led the full-stack software engineering efforts. I designed and implemented features using JavaScript (React) for the front-end, and Python (Flask and Django) for the back-end, deploying the platform on Linode. I managed schema design for the full-stack database, utilizing PostgreSQL and SQLite, and handled Linux-based deployments on AWS, GCP, and Linode.

This was the video that won us $5,000 from the Nittany AI Competition.

Afterwards we began a project for liver segmentation on livers and tumor detection. You can check the model and code here.
